Overview
Denmark has a long orienteering tradition, with active clubs, a strong volunteer culture and competitions for all ages and abilities. Although the country is famous for its flat landscape, Danish orienteering can be deceptively technical, with subtle contours, detailed vegetation and complex dune systems demanding precise navigation. Its compact size makes Denmark particularly attractive for visiting orienteers. Forest races, coastal landscapes and urban sprints are often within easy reach of one another, making it possible to combine several orienteering experiences with a short holiday.
